Some examples include relaxation/stress relief, chronic pain, sports injuries, repetitive strain injuries, deep tissue massage, pregnancy, headaches, muscle tension and spasm, and nerve impingements. Every massage therapy treatment is customized to each client. We work with you to develop a treatment plan that best suits your needs. From relaxation or stress relief to chronic pain or recovering from injuries, our therapists will work with you to develop a treatment plan.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a specialized technique that is nothing like a regular massage. It is a very gentle technique that improves the activity of the lymphatic system. 

There are many benefits to MLD and it can be very beneficial for a variety of conditions. It is a great way to reduce swelling and speed healing after surgery and minimalize scar formation or after injury/trauma. It is extremely relaxing and beneficial for migraines, stress/anxiety, constipation, overuse injuries, sinus pain and congestion.

Your body undergoes a lot of changes throughout pregnancy and childbirth. Some of the benefits of receiving massage during pregnancy are reduced stress and tension on weightbearing joints, relaxation, reduces swelling, and postural awareness. Please indicate that you are pregnant when booking your massage. Don’t forget about the post-natal period as well! Continuing massage therapy treatments after your baby is born is vital to help maintain the changes your body is experiencing and getting some self care while adjusting to a new baby at home.

Our therapists can work with you to teach you how to massage your child at home, or work on specific concerns you have. 

Benefits of infant massage include: promotes bonding and secure attachment, helps to ease symptoms of colic, gas and constipation, decreases growing pains, reduces stress hormones and promotes better sleep. 

Benefits of pediatric massage include: relaxation, reduced stress/anxiety, constipation relief, helps to relieve growing pains and healing from sports injuries.

Hot stone therapy involves the therapist using heated stones in their hand while applying Swedish massage techniques. 

This type of treatment is beneficial to those who like a lighter pressure used during treatment and are looking for the ultimate in relaxation. 

It is a great way to relax during the cold winter months, or at any time of year!

Cupping can be a great modality to try to relieve those stubborn tight areas. The therapist will place cups on your body which will create suction to separate the layers of superficial fascia. The suction from the cups increases circulation which can help to decrease myofascial adhesions, relieve muscle tension and promote cell repair. Let your therapist know this is something you want to try and we can incorporate it into a massage, or use cupping alone as a therapy. It is important to note that cupping can cause bruising and this is something your therapist will discuss with you prior to treatment.

Aromatherapy incorporates the use of essential oils into a massage. 

The oils are diluted before use and are applied with a carrier oil or added to a diffuser as inhalation therapy during your massage. 

Different essential oils have different benefits, so speak to your therapist and they can help you decide which is best for you and your treatment.
